Internship Reflection
2020-2021

In the spring and summer of 2024, I interned with Logitech's Innovation Team. My primary focus was developing an AI tool that streamlines creative workflows for internal teams. This project allowed me to own the entire design process from research through implementation, culminating in a company-wide presentation that demonstrated how the tool reduced workflow time waste by 33%. Additionally, I contributed to redesigning key components of the team's internal website, enhancing usability and information architecture across calendar, map, and article page elements.

Stakeholder Communication
Project #1: AI Tool
Situation: The organization needed a solution that addressed users' workflow challenges.
Task: Conduct user-centered research and design an AI tool streamlining user workflow and aligning stakeholder visions.
Actions:
Conducted user research: Led comprehensive user interviews, observational studies, and think-aloud sessions to understand user needs and challenges.
Created compelling use cases: Developed clear narratives and scenarios to align cross-functional teams, facilitating stakeholder consensus and buy-in.
Prototyped and tested: Conducted iterative, high-fidelity prototype testing, systematically gathering user feedback to refine the tool continuously.
Collaborated cross-functionally: Worked closely with engineers and product managers to incorporate technical constraints and operational considerations into the design.
Results: Successfully presented the final solution to leadership, demonstrating a 33% reduction in workflow inefficiencies, showcasing the project's business impact.
Project #2: Internal Team Website Component Redesign
Situation: The internal team website faced usability and visual consistency issues, particularly with the calendar, map interface, and article pages.
Task: Redesign critical website components to enhance usability, functionality, and visual coherence across the internal platform.
Actions:
Audited existing components: Conducted thorough assessments to identify usability pain points and pinpoint opportunities for functional improvement.
Engaged stakeholders: Regularly collaborated with internal team members to incorporate feedback, ensuring the design fully supported their workflow needs.
Provided detailed handoff documentation: Delivered comprehensive interactive prototypes, specifications, and documentation to facilitate efficient and accurate implementation by engineers.
Results: Improved functionality and visual cohesion of key website components, significantly enhancing user experience and daily operational efficiency.
